Words fill my head and it must be said,
It’s easier to exclude than accept.
There’s too much opinion made out of fear.
With all the hate speeches the truth isn’t clear.
What we need is love what we get is hate,
Democracy is the base of our state.
Reality is not black or white,
Freedom of speech is a daily fight.
My mind keeps turning and I am yearning,
to stop the world from burning,
all the bad news of pollution and hate
I still hope it isn’t too late.
What we want to say accept the people who are gay
feeling the pressure in your words
they just want to be free like birds
you pretend it isn’t strange
when others cry we have to try to make a major change
Start acting, stop fighting, there’s too much to do
all you smart ministers don’t you see it’s true.
My mind keeps turning and I am yearning,
to stop the world from burning,
all the bad news of pollution and hate
I still hope it isn’t too late.
Listen to the polar bear’s cries
once my home was made of ice
now there’s plastic around me
with closed eyes you can’t see
My mind keeps turning and I am yearning,
to stop the world from burning,
all the bad news of pollution and hate
I still hope it isn’t too late.
